Dear Mr. Kennedy,

I don't know how to say it. It might be just another psycho-fan birthday wishes or another psycho-fan letter for You. I totally understand it. But I wanted to say thank you. Why? Well... You saved my life. And skin. And my mind. My social life. E v e r t h i n g. Sounds trivially.

I had a bad time. You know... I wanted to cut myself. Lots of people cut themself, so I thought "You can do it too." It sounds so stupid now... But I really wanted to see my blood running. Stupid teenager with problems. But, guess what? I haven't done it. I've heard "Life Must Go On" and just start crying. I threw piece of glass away. Everything changed in a few weeks.

Well... It doesn't look like birthady wishes. But I really wanted to say it. Thank you.

These two guys in the photo are me and my best friend waiting for Alter Bridge show in Milan last 12 November. I don't know if you actually saw our banner but you finally played Calm The Fire and I was about to faint. That night you said there were crazy people at the show, I was one of them, sitting on my best friend's shoulders and freaking out ;)

It was the best night of my life, not kidding, a night I won't ever forget, something I will tell my children when they ask me to skip school for a concert (I mean in a far future, I am only 17 and I'm not pregnant xd).

I won't say your music saved my life because I was not about killing myselfbefore I discoverd Alter Bridge but it's true that your music made my life better, it is fucking true! There's no song written by Alter Bridge I don't love; you, I mean the whole band but especially your incredible voice, are the soundtrack of every single day of my life.

I hope you'll come back to Italy soon, I really can't handle too much time without a concert of yours, I will fight with my parents and skip school again if necessary, I will take trains and ships and planes, it doesn't matter.

My love for music has grown so strong over the years, and out of all the great music I've come to discover and love, and all the great voices i've come to admire,none of them have touched me and made more of an impact on me than Myles Kennedy's voice.I could go on all day about how entrancing and amazing his voice is.He has an incredible range,great control and in everything he sings the raw emotion always shines through.I really can't put into words just how much Myles Kennedy's talents get to me.Listening to an Alter Bridge,or Mayfield Four,or slash,or Citizen Swing,or any song that he's featured in never fails to put me in a great mood.And not only is he a truly incredible singer, but he has an immense well of talent on the guitar too!One of my favorite guitar solo's of all time is the one featured on blackbird.

I'm wondering what will be good to start, because I have so much to say and if I started from simply “happy birthday” it would be just blank. You know what? I can say that in some way you’ve have taught me this. You have taught me how not to be a hollow person. I'd like to express admiration to all your records. I appreciate them so much. Work you did with The Mayfield Four is stunning. I’m really happy that I’ve discovered TM4. I love emotions on Fallout and Second Skin. This is really thrilling stuff. The same I feel to AB’s music. In my opinion Alter Bridge does great records and you guys keep going, discover new directions and AB still progresses.
